Parking in Helsinki
Parking is quite restrictive in the downtown area of Helsinki. There is about 60 pay-to-park spaces (about 1€/h) available at the ferry. Cars that come early in the morning (8.30-9.30) do not usually have a problem finding space.
Boat transport rigs should be parked at Jouko Lindgren's boatyard for the duration of the week. The cost for that is included in the racing fee. There are 4 sponsored Volvo Cars for crews/race committee and they are available for the occasional needs of driving to the boatyard or store. Most other commuting is recommended to do by a well functioning tram/bus services. We would not recommend renting a car as most areas in Helsinki can be easily reached by other means.
